Chapter Seven was a series of questions about the average person's shoe size at Fowler High School, and we picked 45 random students. To receive an equal shoe size between the men and women, we converted the woman's shoe size to a man's, which is only subtracting 1 from what they are originally. After that step, we calculated the average shoe size, which was a 9.87 in men's, and then calculated the standard deviation which is 2.06, this means that any shoe size that is 2.06 away from the mean is still within range to be "normal". We then moved on to create a Histogram of our data (shown below) and then a series of other calculations, which are all explained under the numbered answers. We used a color coordination for the "Personal Z-Score" section to keep organized of what shoe size we are calculating.
